Kapua Acquisition Bill Passes State House
On April 12, The State House approved a bill to preserve the lands of Kapua, South Kona. Senator Kill Kahele introduced the bill a few days before his passing. Richard Creagan, South Kona Representative, expressed his support of the initiative on the floor of the House. More information can be found here.

Kirstin Kahaloa and Stephanie Donoho and from the Kona-Kohala Chamber of Commerce visited Senator Lorraine’s office to discuss making an appropriation for a federal inspection station at Kona International Airport. They brought mac nuts from the Hamakua Macadamia Nut Company for Senator Lorraine and her staff.
